He said 'twas directed for his Grace, but the Duke told him 'twas certainly meant for some Scotch Lord, and gave it back again and wou'd not receive. His friends pretend to say he had spent near ten thousand pounds in the last Election. We had a report here that the Mob had been up at the Hague and had threaten to tear you to peices, but upon inquirery I find there was not a word of it true.
