The Wonderful Fairies of the Sun.

She doesn’t dash round in chariot grand,
But rather prefers to float
Serenely around in the cool night air,
In a crescent-shaped silver boat.


The stars are her bright-eyed messengers,
Who leave the King's Palace gate
To follow the Queen throughout the night;
And eagerly do they wait
To be sent on an errand down to the Earth,
Or some planet across the sky:
So she calls them all Comets or Shooting Stars,
From the way that they rush and fly.
