"The portrait mentioned by Granger among the Houbracken heads, is now universally acknowledged to be spurious. It was, however, copied not long since by Baldwin in Catherine-street.

"Such is the list of portraits coming within my knowledge. It certainly comprehends the more important ones, but is as certainly imperfect, and I must leave the outline to be filled up by those who have more leisure and greater opportunities of obtaining information."
