Cardamine rhomboidea-like, purple-flowered.

Claytonia Virginica (spring-beauty). Dicentra cucullaria.

Podophyllum, May-apple. Viola pubescens.

Ranunculus abortivus.

Shepherdia Canadensis. Amelanchier, variety oblonga, thirty feet high.

Aralia trifolla. Arabis lyrata. Ribes cynosbati. Cohosh just out.

Lepidium campestre, in bloom. Dog's-tooth violet. Orchis spectabilis.

Trees,—maple, beech, bass, arbor vitæ, cedar, ostrya, hemlock.
