A Glasse Watch-Cover.


Through this pure glasse you might behold the power,
And hand of tyme post on from houre to houre:
And vew the slippery spokes of fortunes wheele,
Some forwards run the race, some backwards reele.
Where even the name could warne us to forsee,
And watch our dieng opportunity.
Nay, still though broke, the very watche's case
Crumbles into a mortall houre-glasse,
Where every giant attome poysoning can
Turne, lyke it self, to dust the proudest man.
