(a) CONSTRUCTION AND ACQUISITION.—The Secretary of the Army may, using amounts appropriated pursuant to section 2105(a)(6)(A), construct or acquire family housing units (including land acquisition) at the following installations in the number of units shown, and in the amount shown, for each installation: Fort Wainwright, Alaska, one hundred and fifty units, $27,000,000. Fort Irwin, California, two hundred and sixty-three units, $24,000,000. Helemano, Hawaii, one hundred units, $11,400,000. Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, forty units, $4,450,000. Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, two hundred and seventy-two units, $20,000,000. Fort Drum, New York, one hundred units, $10,000,000. Fort Bliss, Texas, one hundred and eight units, $9,100,000. Augsburg, Germany, thirty-four units, as described in section 2103(b). Hohenfels, Germany, eighty-eight units, $8,400,000. (b) PLANNING AND DESIGN.—The Secretary of the Army may, using amounts appropriated pursuant to section 2105(a)(6)(A), carry out architectural and engineering services and construction design activities with respect to the construction or improvement of family housing units in an amount not to exceed $10,628,000. SEC. 2103. IMPROVEMENTS TO MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING UNITS
(a) IN GENERAL.—Subject to section 2825 of title 10, United States Code, the Secretary of the Army may, using amounts appropriated pursuant to section 2105(a)(6)(A), improve existing military family housing units in an amount not to exceed $72,300,000. (b) WAIVER OF MAXIMUM PER COST FOR CERTAIN IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS.—Notwithstanding the maximum amount per unit for an improvement project under section 2825(b) of title 10, United States Code, the Secretary of the Army may carry out projects to improve existing military family housing units at the following installations in the number of units shown, and in the amount shown, for each installation: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, eight units, $550,000.
