Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Secretary of War States of America in Congress assembled, That from and after the passage tv =l¤¤¤m¤ ¤0¤¤<>1<>fof this act the Secretary of War is directed to assume full control over $‘;;';§}p":’,"1}Q$:;‘ °f the particular channel at the mouth of the Mississippi River in course of ` excavation or improvement by the Government of the United States, so far as may be necessary to the carrying_ on and protection of such excavation and improvement, and until the same be completed, and he May establish reg- may establish such regulations respecting the use of, or passage through, ¤lM¤¤¤¤· such channel as he shall deem needful to fhlly protect the channel and _ to facilitate the excavation, improvement and use thereof.
