MICHAEL C. Kmart was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives on the sixth of December, 1875, and continued to act as such until the first of May, 1876, when he authorized SAMUEL S. Cox to act in his stead as Speaker pro tempore, Cn the twelfth of May, 1876,- SAMUEL S. Cox was elected Speaker pro tempore, and on the twenty-fourth of June, 1876, MILTON SAYLER was elected Speaker pro tempore and continued to act as such until the end of the session.
