Bc it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Oongress assembled, That the act entitled “An act: Marino Hospi- to provide for the construction of a marine hospital in the city of Mem- '*¤l» M°¤¤Pbi¤» pbis, Tcnncsseof, approved May third, eighteen hundred and eighty, T$“éut_ 109 be, and the same is hereby, amended by inserting after the word “ pur- ’chasc”, in the second section of said act, the words "at voluntary sale or by condemnation?, so that said act will read: “'1‘hat the Surgeon-General of the Marine Hospital Service bc, and hc is hereby authorized and empowered to procure 2. proper site in or ucar the city of Memphis, Tennessee, and cause to be erected thereon a building suitable for a. marine hospital, after plans dud specifications which shall be furnished under his direction by the Supervising Architect; of the Treasury Department. Appropriation. ‘· Sec. 2. That the sum of thirty thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be neccessary, bc, and the same is hereby, appropriated, out of any money now in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be cx- Q pcnded by the Secretary of the Treasury in the purchase, ut voluntary sale or by condemnation, of said site, and the erection of the aforesaid building thereon; and the cost; of the site and the erection of the building shall in no event cxcccd the sum hereby appropriated ".
