Pay of Indian police: For the service of not exceeding eight hundred privates, at Eve dollars per month each, and not exceeding one hundred officers, at eight dollars per month each, of Indian police, to be employed in nmiumining order and prohibiting illegal trahic in liquor on the several Indian reservations, and lor the purchase of equipments and rations tor policemen of non-ration agencies, seventytwo thousand dollars: rr·m.m. Provided, That the agent of the Navajo Indians may employ ten Indian policemen, at a rate of compensation not exceeding Biteen dollars per month each. \’m~a¤e. d For pure vaccine matter and vaccination of Indians, one thousand ollars. Indian supplies, Telegraphing and making pmchases of Indian supplies: To pay the l’“"°h°*—‘° °*`· expenses of purchasing goods and supplies for the Indian service, including rent of warehouses and pay ot necessary employees; advertising, at rates not exceeding regular commercial rates · inspection, and all other expenses connected therewith, including telegraphing, forty thousand dollars. And all sales made in violation of this provision shall be void and the offending purchaser on conviction thereof shall · be fined not less than five hundred dollars and imprisoned not less than six months. . Transportation Transportation of Indian supplies: For this amount, for necessary 0* ¤¤PP¥¤°¤· expenses of transportation of such goods, provisions, and other articles for the various tribes of Indians provided for by this act, including pay ` and expenses of transportation agents, two hundred and seventy-five thousand dollars.
