Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the B¤¤<2¤J-P¤rr- Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue and g,£f.‘.E§§°‘§$_ °°"d“ *” dehver, to the guardian or other legal representative of Burton J. Parr, live four per centum coupon bonds of the United States of the denomination of one thousand dollars each, of the issue of July first, eighteen hundred and seventy-Seven, under the act of July fourteenth, eighteen hundred and seventy, together with coupons attached for interest due and to become due since September eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, in lieu of similar bonds numbered nine hundred and twenty-nine, nine hundred and thirty, nine hundred and thirty-one, nine hundred and thirty-two, and nine hundred and thirty-three, which said bonds were destroyed by said Burton J. Parr, upon the tiling of an indemnifying bond to the approval of the Secretary, as prescribed by section thirty-seven hundred and three, United States Revised Statutes, and the regulations of the Department thereunder. Approved, June 24, 1892. CHAP. 136.-An act granting an increase of pension to David Reed. June 2.5, 1892. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the nm; mm. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to increase to the ’°““‘°“‘“°“’°'°“· sum of twenty dollars per month the pension of David Reed, late of Company I, Third Regiment Missouri Mounted Volunteers in the war with Mexico, said pension to be in lieu of the amount now drawn by him under certificate numbered twenty-six hundred and ninety-eight. Approved, June 25, 1892. CHAP. 141.-An act granting an increase of pension to George W. White Jury ;_ me Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatires of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the George w. wma. Interior be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the P°’“ °° *¤"°*°°d· pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of George W. White, late a member of Company B. Gray’s Battalion, Arkansas Volunteers, in the Mexican war, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of the pension he is now receiving. Approved, July 1, 1892. CHAP. 142.-An act for the relief of Thomas A. McLaughlin. July 1, 1892. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War be, rnwrms A. mc. and he is hereby, authorized and directed to revoke and set aside L°(j,’§_‘;}{:, ,mmb,e Special Orders Numbered Two hundred and ninety-eight, War Depart- msemrsement, Adjutant-General’s Office, Washiington, September eighth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, dismissing First Lieutenant Thomas A. McLaughlin, One hundred and second Pennsylvania Volunteers, for absence f1·0m hospital at Annapolis, Maryland, without proper authority, and conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman, and accept the resignation of said McLaughlin as of date August fifteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, and to issue to him a certificate of honorable discharge of said lastnamed date.
