Davis, a soldier in the Black Hawk war, who enlisted July thirty-first, eighteen hundred and thirty-two, for one year, and served to December twenty-first, eighteen hundred and thirty-two, when he was discharged on surgeon’s certificate of disability in Captain Jesse B.
