Lopp, Artmarlook, and native herders, and other natives of Alaska, who rendered material aid to the Government expedition sent to relieve the whaling ileet in the Arctic regions in eighteen hundred and ninetyseven, two thousand five hundred dollars. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized ,ngj_1;_j,s,,*!{_{§;; Vg-):- and required to examine and adjust the accounts of the Cape Smythe pany. g Whaling and Trading Company for supplies furnished and services m·,‘},j*Q‘j,f"‘°“° °' **°· rendered in rescuing, housin g, feeding, clothing, and caring for ship- —¤·¤»¤rt·· wrecked whalers in the Arctic seas in eighteen hundred and ninety- seven and eighteen hundred and ninety-eight until they were taken in charge by officers of the Revenue-Cutter Service and report the result of such adiustment to Congress with such recommendation as he may deem proper.
