Joseph w. approving the proceedings of the general court—martial which sentenced Wf{§§,Q,,_,d to duty Major J. W. Wham, Paymaster United States Army, to be dismissed vw- ` the service, and mitigating the sentence to suspension on half pay hom rank, duty, and all privileges until January eighteenth, nineteen hundred and four, his name to be placed at the foot of the lists of majors in the pay department, and to disapprove the sentence of dismissal of Major Joseph W. Wham, Paymaster United States Army, and to restore him to duty, previous rank, and status in the United States Army, and full pay from and after the passage of this Act. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Navy be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to amend the naval ,,§{°’"g° W" S°°" record of George W. Sherrard, late an enlisted iirstclass boy, who tfmm ¤i¤¢Y¤¤s¤· served on United States steamships Princeton, Daylight, and Shenan· ° ' doah, was transferred to the Princeton, and marked on the rolls of said vessel as having “ never reported," and grant him a discharge: Pro- Prowo. oided, That said Sherrard shall not by the passage of this Act be N° *’“"°*"‘ entitled to any bounty or back pay of any kind.
