And the superintendent upon whom such duties devolve shall give bond as other Indian agents. I¤*°*P*°*¤¤· For payment of necessary interpreters, to be distributed in the discretion of the Secretary of the Interior, ten thousand dollars; but no person employed by the United States and paid for any other service · shall be paid for interpreting. lnspecwrs For pay of eight Indian inspectors, one of whom shall be an engineer competent in the location, construction, and maintenance of irrigation works, and one of `whom may be located by the Secretary of the Interior in the Indian Territory, and under his direction and authority may perform any duties required by law of said Secretary in said Territory, at two thousand five hundred dollars per annum each, twenty thousand dollars. -rme11¤g·u¤pe¤ses.
