Chap. 1484.—An Act Granting a pension to Emeline Simmons.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Emeline Simmons, widow of Francis Simmons, late of Company C, Eighth Regiment Michigan Volunteer Cavalry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Chap. 1485.—An Act Granting a pension to Rachel Tyson.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Rachel Tyson, widow of Jacob Tyson, alias Jacob Stafford, late of Captain William Jones’s company, North Carolina Volunteer Infantry, Cherokee Indian disturbances, and pay him a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Susan Laugherty, widow of Thomas J. Laugherty, late of Company H, Sixth Regiment Tennessee Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Burdick, helpless and dependent daughter of Ira D. Burdick, late captain Company C, Thirty-first Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.
