of John Bremond, of Austin, Texas, the Sum of fifteen dollars, in redemption of certain interest coupons detached from United States three per centum coupon bonds of the loan of nineteen hundred and eight to nineteen hundred and eighteen, numbered twenty-five thousand two hundred and seventy-seven, twenty-five thousand two hundred and seventy-eight, twenty-five thousand two hundred and seventy-nine and twenty-five thousand two hundred and eighty, respectively, said bonds being for one hundred dollars each, which said coupons were dated February first, nineteen hundred and one; Mayflirst, nineteen hundred and one; August first, nineteen hundred and one; November first, nineteen hundred and one, and February first, nineteen hundred and two, and amounted in the aggregate to fifteen dollars, the said original coupons having been lost or destroyed: Proviso.

Provided, That before the redemption of said coupons the said Bremond shall file with the Secretary of the Treasury, to be approved by him, an indemnifying bond as prescribed by section thirty-seven hundred and three United States Revised Statutes and the regulations of the Department.

Chap. 1497.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to John Latty.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John Latty, late captain Company C, First Regiment Alabama Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Frederick Frick, late of Company A, Forty-fourth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
