Be it enacted by t/we Senate and House of RqM·esentat1}ves oft/oe United [Pr1v¤¤¤.N<>-647-1 States of America in Congress assembled, That the sum of one hundred M_ L_sr,dmr,r€_ and four dollars and ninety-four cents be refunded to M. L. Skidmore, R¤i¤¤\>¤¤¤¤¤=e¤¤· of Gaston County, North Carolina, by the United States Treasury, the same being for internal-revenuestamps purchased by him from the United States Government to cover taxes on two several packa es of spirits, numbered one hundred and thirty-eight and one hundred and t irty-nine, produced in the month of May, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, by the said Skidmore, which stamps were lost in the mail

and never receivedby him. ·.—An Act Granting a pension to {{{grantee}}}.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of {{{grantee}}}, {{{quality}}}, and pay him a pension at the rate of {{{rate}}} dollars per month.
