Chap. 323.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to George N. Thorpe.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of George N. Thorpe, late of Company C, Ninety-first Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Chap. 324.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to James W. Hibbert.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of James W. Hibbert, late of Company I, Fifty-first Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Chap. 325.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Emily Conklin.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Emily Conklin, widow of James L. Conklin, late of Company A, Fifth Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receivingProviso.
Increase to cease on death of child.
: Provided, however, That in the event of the death of the helpless child, Cora B. Conklin, on whose account the pension of Emily Conklin is increased, the pension of said Emily Conklin shall continue only at the rate of twelve dollars per month from and after the date of death of said helpless child..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of James F. Wheeler, late of Company K, First Regiment Texas Volunteer Rifles, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.
