`Triiblic, No. 137.] Frederic K. Long and to reappoint him a captain in the Regular Army. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of ,$;;$§cK_L0mm8y the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Presih;·Ir¤;=¤i;¤i¤¤¤d captain dent be, and he is hereby, authorized to reconsider the record of ° Mn ry` trial of Frederic K. Long who on March 19, 1924, while a captain of Infantry in the Regular Army, was dismissed the service of the United States pursuant to a sentence adjudged by general courtmartial; and i upon reconsideration of said record of trial the President shall determine that the ends of justice and discipline, and the public interest, would be served better by loss of a certain number of files in military rank and in position on the promotion list than by permanent separation from the military service, the President is hereby authorized, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to reappoint said Frederic K. Long a captain of Infantry D { t in the Regular Army, to_ fill the next or any subsequent vacancy in “‘°° ""’k’°° the grade of captain, with such date of rank not earlier than his former date of rank and such place upon the promotion list not above his former place upon that list as to the President may seem just and advisable.
