SEC . 2 . If tolls are charged for the use of such bridge, the rates Tolls adjusted t§pro - vide for mainte nance , of toll shall be so adjusted as to provide a fund sufficient to pay operation, etc . the rea son able co st of mai nta ini ng, re pai rin g, and operating the b ridge and its app roache s und er eco nomica l man agemen t, and to pro vide a sinking fu nd sufficient to amortize the co st of the bridge and its approaches, including reasonable interest and financing cost, as soon as possible under reasonable charges, but wi thin a period of not to exceed forty years from the completion thereof . bridge, etc, after costs si nking fu nd suffic ient for such am ortizati on shall have bee n so amortized . provided, such bridge shall thereafter be maintained and operated free of tolls or the rates of toll shall thereafter be so adjusted as to provide a fund of not to exceed the amount necessary for the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of the bridge and its approaches under eco no mic al management . SEC . 3. L. Hendrix, G. C. Trammel, and C. S. Miller by the Act of Con- Vol. 45, pp . 316,1529 . gress approved March 16, 1928, and extended for one ye ar by the Ante, p . 385.
