S . C., title 23, sees . 21 and 23), not to exceed $50,000 for the purchase of motor- propelled passenger-carrying vehicles for use in the construction and maintenance of national-forest roads or other roads constructed under the su pervision of the Departmen t of Agricultu re, including the replacement of not to exceed two such vehicles for use in the administrati ve work of th e Bureau of P ublic Roads in the District of Columbia : Provided further, That appropriations contained in this Act shall be available for the maintenance, operation, and repair of motor-propelled and horse-drawn passenger-carrying
