383 SEC. 8 . That the Secretary of the Interior may require field employees of the National Park Service to furnish horses, motor and other vehicles, and miscellaneous equipment necessary for the performance of their official work ; and he may provide, at Govern- ment expense, forage, care, a nd housi ng for a nimals, a nd housi ng or stor age and f uel for vehicles and oth er equip ment so r equired to be fur nished . SEC. 9. That hereafter the Secretary of the Interior may, under such regulations as he may prescribe, authorize the hire, rental, or purchase of property from employees of the National Park Service whenever the public interest will be promoted thereby . SEC . 10. Hereafter the National Park Service may hire, with or without personal services, work animals and animal-drawn and motor-propelled vehicles and equipment at rates to be approved by the Secretary of the Interior and without compliance with the provi- sions of sections 3709 and 3744 of the Revised Statutes . SEC . 11 . Appropriations whenever made for the National Park Service which are available for general administration may be used for the payment of traveling expenses, including the costs of packing, crating, and transportation (including drayage) of personal effects' of employees upon permanent change of station, under regulations to be presc ribed by the Secr etary of the Int erior . Be it enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the times for commencing and completing the construction of the bridge across the South Fork of the Cumberland River, at or near Burnside, Pu laski Co unty, Ken tucky, a uthorize d to be built by the Stat e High- way Commission, Commonwealth of Kentucky, by the Act of Con- gress approved May 18, 1928, and heretofore extended by the Act of Congress approved March 2, 1929, are hereby further extended one and three years, respectively, from May 18, 1930 .
