Cotton manufactures . PAR. 901 . (a) Cotton yarn, including warps, in any form, not Yarn- bleached, dyed, colored, combed, or plied, of numbers not exceeding Not bleached, ate . nu mber 90, 5 per centum ad valorem and, in a ddit ion thereto, for each number, three-tenths of 1 per centum ad valorem ; exceeding nu mber 90, 32 per cen tum ad valo rem . (b) Cotton yarn, including warps, i n any form, bleache d, dyed, Bleached, etc. colored, combed, or plied, of numbers not exceeding number 90, 10 per centum ad valorem an d, in addition thereto, for ea ch number, three-tenths of 1 per centum ad valorem ; exceeding number 90, 37 per centum ad valorem . (c) Cotton waste , manufactured or o therwise advanced i n value, .was te, sliver, and cotton card laps, sliver, and roving, 5 per centum ad valorem . PAR. 902 . Cotton sewing thread, one -half of 1 cent per hundred sewing thread. yards ; crochet, darning, embroidery, and knitting cottons, put up for handwork, in lengths not exc eeding eight hundre d and forty yards, one-half of 1 cent per hundr ed yards : Provided, That none of the Proviso . foregoing shall pay a less rate of duty than 20 nor more than 35 per Mimmum rate. centum ad valorem . ation of vided for shall be obtained by taking the length of the thread or yarn to be equal to the distance covered by it in the cloth in the condition as imported, except that all clipped threads shall be measured as if continuous ; in counting the threads all ply yarns shall be separated into singles and the count taken of the total singles ; the weight shall be taken after any excessive sizing is removed by boiling or other suitable process .
