701 SEC. 335 . PENALTY FOR DISCLOSURE OF TRADE SECRETS .

r al official, un la wf ul known in any manner whatever not provided for by law, to any person, the trade secrets or processes of any person, firm, copartner- s hip, c orpor ation, or a ssocia tion embrac ed in any e xamin ation or investigation conducted by the commission, or by order of the com- mission, or by order of any member thereof . Any offense against the Punishment for . provisions of this section shall be a misdemeanor and be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000, or by imprisonment not exceeding one year, or both, in the discretion of the court, and such offender shall a lso be dism issed from offic e or d ischa rged from e mploy ment . SEC. 336 . EQUALIZATION OF COSTS OF PRODUCTION .
Costs of production . (a) CHANGE OF CLASSIFICATION OR DuTIEs .-In order to put into Investigations of dif . fer ences of domestic force and effect the policy of Congress by this Act intended, the w,th similar foreign commission (1) upon request of the President, or (2) upon resolu- article . tion of either or both Houses of Congress, or (3) upon its own motion, or (4) when in the judgment of the commission there is g ood a nd su fficie nt re ason theref or, u pon ap plica tion of any inte r- ested party, shall investigate the differences in the costs of produc- tion of any domestic article and of any like or similar foreign article . In the course of the investigation the commission shall hold hearings near ings , etc . a nd gi ve re asonab le pu blic notice ther eof, a nd sh all a fford reaso n- able opportunity for parties interested to be present, to produce evidence, and to be heard at such hearings . The commission is authorized to adopt such reasonable procedure and rules and regu- lations as it deems necessary to execute its functions under this s ection . The commission shall report to the President the results of the investigation and its findings with respect to such differences in costs of production . In no case shall the total increase or decrease of such Limitation of cha nges . rates of duty exceed 50 per centum of the rates expressly fixed by st atute . (b) CHANGE TO AMERIC AN SF.T.T.TNG PRICE .-If the commission If dif feren ces n ot equalized thereby to be finds upon any such investigation that such differences can not be stated, and ad valorem equal ized b y pro ceedi ng as herei nbefo re pro vided , it s hall so st ate ing pri ce me icanpe l l- in its report to the President and shall specify therein such ad fl d° valorem rates of duty based upon the American selling price (as Post, p. 710. defin ed in secti on 40 2 (g)) of the domestic article, as it finds shown by the investigation to be necessary to equalize such differences . In no case shall the total decrease of such rates of duty exceed 50 Decrease restricted, incresso forbidden . per centum of the rates expressly fixed by statute, and no such rate shall be in creas ed . (C) PROCLAMATION BY THE PRESIDENT .-The President shall by Proclamation by the President if rates, etc ., proclamation approve the rates of duty and changes in classification shown b y Commission and in basis of value specified in any report of the commission necessary to er,uahze the difference . under this section, if in his judgment such rates of duty and changes are shown by such investigation of the commission to be necessary to eq ualiz e such diff erenc es in costs of p roduc tion .
