PUBLIC LAW 94-59—JULY 25, 1975 during the period or periods of any such detail for all purposes of rank, pay, allowances, privileges, and benefits to the same extent as though such detail had not been made, and at the termination thereof any such person shall have a status with respect to rank, pay, allowances, privileges, and benefits which is not less than the status of such person in such police at the end of such detail: Provided further, That the Mayor of the District of Columbia is directed (1) to pay the assistant chief detailed under the authority of this paragraph and serving as Chief of the Capitol Police, the salary of assistant chief plus $2,000 and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as this position is held by the present incumbent, (2) to pay the two deputy chiefs detailed under the authority of this paragraph and serving as assistants to the Chief of the Capitol Police the salary of deputy chief and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as these positions are held by the present incumbents, (3) to elevate and pay the captain detailed under the authority of this paragraph the rank and salary of inspector and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as this position is held by the present incumbent, (4) to elevate and pay the lieutenant detailed under the authority of this paragraph the rank and salary of captain and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as this position is held by the present incumbent, (5) to pay the captain detailed under the authority of this paragraph the salary of captain plus $1,625 and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as this position is held by the present incumbent, (6) to pay the lieutenant detailed under the authority of this paragraph the salary of lieutenant and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as this position is held by the present incumbent, (7) to elevate and pay the acting lieutenant detailed under the authority of this paragraph the rank and salary of lieutenant and such increases m basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as this position is held by the present incumbent, (8) to elevate and pay the two detectives, grade 2, detailed under the authority of this paragraph the rank and salary of detective sergeant and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as these positions are held by the present incumbents, (9) to pay the two detective sergeants detailed under the authority of this paragraph the salary of detective sergeant and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as these positions are held by the present incumbents, (10) to pay the four sergeants of the uniform force detailed under the authority of this paragraph the salary of sergeant and such increases in basic compensation as may be subsequently provided by law so long as these positions are held by the present incumbents. No part of any appropriation contained in this Act shall be paid as compensation to any person appointed after June 30, 1935, as an officer or member of the Capitol Police who does not meet the standards to be prescribed for such appointees by the Capitol Police Board: Provided, That the Capitol Police Board is hereby authorized to detail police from the House Office, Senate Office, and Capitol Buildings for police duty on the Capitol Grounds and on the Library of Congress Grounds. For "Capitol Police Board" for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, $350,090.
