PUBLIC LAW 94-59—JULY 25, 1975 expenses of attendance, when specifically authorized by the Architect of the Capitol, at meetings or conventions in connection with subjects related to work under the Architect of the Capitol, $4,144,500, of which $77,000 shall remain available until expended. Not to exceed $496,500 of the unobligated balance of the appropriation under this head for the fiscal year 1975 is hereby continued available until June 30, 1976. Not to exceed $60,000 of the unobligated balance of that part of the appropriation under this head for the fiscal year 1974, continued available until June 30, 1975, is hereby continued available until June 30, 1976. Not to exceed $400,000 of the unobligated balance of that part of the appropriation under this head for the fiscal year 1973, made available until June 30, 1974 and continued available until June 30, 1975, for restoration of the Old Senate and Supreme Court Chambers, is hereby continued available until June 30, 1976. For care and improvement of grounds surrounding the Capitol, the Senate and House Office Buildings, and the Capitol Power Plant; personal and other services; care of trees; planting; fertilizer; repairs to pavements, walks, and roadways; waterproof wearing apparel; maintenance of signal lights; and for snow removal by hire of men and equipment or under contract without regard to section 3709 of the Revised Statutes, as amended, $1,685,000, of which $200,000 shall remain available until expended. For "Capitol grounds" for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, $405,000. MASTER PLAN FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CAPITOL GROUNDS AND RELATED AREAS
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, to enable the Architect of the Capitol to prepare studies and develop a Master Plan for future developments within the United States Capitol Grounds, for the future enlargement of such grounds through the acquisition and development of areas in the vicinity thereof, and for the future acquisition and development of other areas deemed appropriate by him to include in and mcorporate as a part of such Plan, in order to provide within such areas for future expansion, growth, and requirements of the legislative branch and such parts of the judiciary branch as deemed appropriate to include in such Plan, after consultation with the leaders of the House and the Senate, and the Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittees of the House and Senate, and the Chief Justice of the United States, and in order to project other anticipated growth in and adjacent to such areas, $350,000, to be expended without regard to section 3709 of the Revised Statutes of the United States, as amended, and to remain available until expended: Provided, That the Architect of the Capitol is authorized to enter into personal service and other contracts, employ personnel, confer with and accept services and assistance from the National Capital Planning Commission and other Government agencies and other interested parties to insure coordinated planning, and incur obligations and make expenditures for these and other items deemed necessary to carry out
