Rowland-Brown) According to the Haileybury School List this insect is only occasionally observed. Both Mr. Matthews and Mr. Boyd report it to be scarce. I have not seen it in the St. Albans district caja, L. The larvae of this abundant species are locally called ' woolly bears.' The perfect insects occa- sionally come to 'light' Callimorpha dominula, L. Hitchin (Dur- rant) CARADRINID.S: Cucullia chamomillae, Schiff. St. Albans (A. E. It is occasionally taken at ' light ' and at rest scrophularias, Cap. Ickleford (Latch- more) The late Mr. Frank Latchmore of Hitchin used to find the larvae of this species abundant on the water betony at Ickleford and other places in the north of the county CARADRINID.S: (continued) Cucullia verbasci, L.
