Cut as per solid outline.
Or the gorge may be cut away as per dash line at X, and the inside of lapel made up of lining.
This latter plan is more economical and thinner.
The buttons are put as far behind the breast line as the eye of the hole is in front of it.

The stripes of these Vests are arranged to run horizontally.
They should be cut to show a ¼ inch below strap of coatee, and about ¼ inch above crease row of lapel.
The roll must be moderately heavy but not clumsy.
