THE NEW D. B. VEST.
Diagram 43.
Cut as for no collar vest, Diagram 41, but add on about 2¾ overlap at I.
Run off to nothing at Z. The gorge is hollow shaped from F to I.
The outline of front is varied to taste.
The lapel is cut to be laid on, and the edge just turned over and the lining felled on to it.
Many are finished without a lapel or turn.
The style offers plenty of scope for novelty, both in the opening and the run of fronts.
The special feature of these are the high buttoning, the hollow opening and the number of buttons.
This has been the leading style of vest for some time past, but it is losing its hold on the better class, but there is no doubt it will continue to be worn by the middle classes for some time to come.
