[ Bodies Nescience etc. — The three bodies are
causal, subtle and gross. The first consists of Nescience; the second of seventeen things — five sensory organs, five motor organs, five Pranas (or, according to some, five fine; elements or Tauinllrasj, Manas and Buddhi; and the last, consisting of the gross elements, is what we see. These three bodies make up the five Koshas or sheaths ::om the Anandamaya down to the Aanamaya. The Atman is beyond them all. ]
569. Bondage and liberation, which are conjured up by Maya, do not really exist in the Atman, one's Reality, as the appearance and exit of the snake do not abide in the rope which suffers no change.
