University women of California are occupying places of distinction in the professions, public service, politics and the arts. Among many others, are found the following: Mrs. Herbert Hoover, co-author with her husband, of a scientific treatise on mining, Washington, D. Campbell, wife of President Campbell, University of California; Mrs. Ray Lyman Wilbur, wife of President Wilbur of Stanford University; Mrs. George Gerlinger, Regent, University of Oregon; Mrs. Alexander Morrison, vice-president. University of California Alumni Association; Mrs. Robert Burdette, trustee. Mills College; Mrs. Thomas Mitchell Potter, trustee.
