Ping User:Piotrus. Ping User:Xover. I have removed the added boldfacings, Wikipedia links, and translator's notes from my English translation of Prus' lecture. These were, until now, present on pages 12 [8], 16 [12], 17 [13], 21 [17], 22 [18], 28 [24].
I look forward to any further critiques and suggestions.
Thank you!

@Nihil novi: As I got to the final page, I have one remark here: maybe 'rysunki' - 'technical writing' instead of 'drafting'? Btw, AG said that this is a sketch for a longer work. Do you know if he ever finished it? --Piotrus (talk) 03:18, 5 September 2020 (UTC) PS. Re-sign for ping. --Piotrus (talk) 03:18, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Piotrus: Thank you for reviewing and validating Prus's pp. 19–23.
"Rysunek", mentioned by Prus on p. 24, is in this context "technical drawing", otherwise known as "drafting" (please see definition #1 of the Wiktionary "drafting" entry). Hence I used the word "drafting".
Admittedly "drafting" could be confused with the word's use in the sense of "drafting" (preparing) a text; but Prus's context makes sufficiently clear, I think, that he means "rysunek" as "technical drawing", commonly referred to as "drafting".
In writings by and about Prus, regrettably, I haven't come upon anything suggesting that he returned to the subject of "On Discoveries and Inventions". (Another project that he never brought to fruition was a study on the theory of literary composition; his notes from 1886–1912 on the subject are discussed in a 1963 book by Stefan Melkowski, Poglądy estetyczne i działalność krytycznoliteracka Bolesława Prusa.)
Poland and her citizens could, I think, benefit substantially from a closer acquaintance with Prus's writings beyond "Kamizelka" and "Katarynka". Sometimes even what he did not write conveyed wisdom.

@Nihil novi: Would you object to me changing 'drafting' to 'technical drawing' which I think is less ambiguous? --Piotrus (talk) 03:17, 12 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Piotrus:
I've made the change, "drafting" ---> "technical drawing", though in this context an educated Anglophone would know that the former is the latter.
Your pings on Wikisource have not been reaching me. Have you, by any chance, been placing pings on other pages of Prus's lecture, that I may have missed?
Another piece of Prus's writing that I would like to look up, if time permitted, is his The Most General Life Ideals (Najogólniejsze ideały życiowe, his 1905 system of social ethics).
