I think that, for consistency, "|Invention" should be corrected to "Invention".

I would keep the "a" in "a steel". The author means "a kind of steel", which does require the article adjective, "a".

In the passage about gunpowder, I notice that I added the word "three": "these three materials". Prus does not say "three", but I think the presence of that adjective does add clarity by emphasizing that the three substances must all be present to produce gunpowder. So I would keep "three", though it does not, strictly, appear in Prus' original text.

With those caveats, the page looks good. Thank you! Please let me know, if you have any questions.

I appreciate your change of "mass" to "substance", and the commas. (Nota bene, an introductory adverbial phrase at the start of a sentence, if the phrase is brief, does not always require a comma.)
