Different printings?

Because the scans here are often missing periods, and sometimes convert ; to , (presumably due to over-sensitive smudge removal) I often use the clearer scans at archive.org for verification. I just noticed that the originals are different printings: this page has II (or 11) at the lower right, while https://archive.org/stream/encyclopaediabri04chisrich#page/1/mode/1up has the digit 5. I'm going with 5, because then I don't have to decide whether this scan is II or 11. Curious about their provenance now. DavidBrooks (talk) 15:28, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

On examination, page iii shows a difference: "New York/Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc./342 Madison Avenue" in these djvu files, and "Cambridge, England/at the University Press/New York, 35 West 32nd Street/1910" on archive.org. Presumably an American vs British printing? DavidBrooks (talk) 18:37, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
