Taking of Car*ine

I'm sorry for this, but I have to admit that a word left me in doubt. I read "and the taking of Cartine" where the previous reading was "taking of Carrine" but neither toponyms were found on Wikipedia or by googling around.

I transcribed what my eyes decyphered. If anyone has a clue about that, be welcome.
