THE BUTTERCUP
Dear little chalice, catching the sunlight,
Holding the drops of the morning dew,
Growing so sweetly here by the roadside,
Would I might learn a lesson from you.
Out of the sunlight and glory of God,
To gather the sweetness and leave the rue.
