Poems (Baldwyn)/The Star of Bethlehem
Appearance
THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM.
"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy." Matthew ii. 10.
Oh, may that star direct our way
To realms of everlasting day,
Where, undefil'd, we may find rest
In the bright mansions of the blest.
To realms of everlasting day,
Where, undefil'd, we may find rest
In the bright mansions of the blest.
Oh, "bright" and glorious "Morning Star,"
Though great the clouds of darkness are,
We will rejoice when thou "appear,"
And when to glory we draw near;
Oh, blessed "Light," direct our way
To realms of everlasting day!
Though great the clouds of darkness are,
We will rejoice when thou "appear,"
And when to glory we draw near;
Oh, blessed "Light," direct our way
To realms of everlasting day!
