IN Mt. WOLLASTON CEMETERY.
One day while wand'ringThro' the grave yard old,I came upon a marble stoneAll white and cold,Inscribed thereon were wordsI now in mem'ry clearly see"Until the day break and theShadows flee."
Next time I rode aroundThe grave yard old,I saw a manly formSo cold and stillPlaced in a narrow graveUpon the hill,For him the day had brokeThe "clouds had rolled away"And he had entered inUpon the glorious "light" of day,But I am waiting all impatiently"Until the day break and theShadows flee."
