Poems (Bell)/In Mt. Wollaston Cemetary
Appearance
IN Mt. WOLLASTON CEMETERY.
One day while wand'ring Thro' the grave yard old,I came upon a marble stone All white and cold,Inscribed thereon were words I now in mem'ry clearly see"Until the day break and the Shadows flee."
Next time I rode around The grave yard old,I saw a manly form So cold and stillPlaced in a narrow grave Upon the hill,For him the day had broke The "clouds had rolled away"And he had entered in Upon the glorious "light" of day,But I am waiting all impatiently "Until the day break and theShadows flee."
