NATIVITY.
God said: "Let there be light!"
Forthwith was born the day,
And nature smiled, was born,
And nothingness swept away.
From matters deep, dark place
Shone forth a brightening ray.
Out of the blackened space
Shone forth the light of day!
I think the soul exists
Before the body is born;
Just so sure the soul lives on!
After the body is gone.
Forthwith was born the day,
And nature smiled, was born,
And nothingness swept away.
From matters deep, dark place
Shone forth a brightening ray.
Out of the blackened space
Shone forth the light of day!
I think the soul exists
Before the body is born;
Just so sure the soul lives on!
After the body is gone.
