Refrain
The song is stilled, but throbbing deep The dearest tones resound again;Courage and truth rise with the strain, To weary hearts, Rest's sweet, refrain; We silence the glad voice in vain, The tones but mutely rise again;O keep love's faith alight our eyes! When love's glow fails true honor dies; And keep our trust firm in love's power, Nor let it fail the waning hour,When mists of sleep drift from the sea And clasp us in their mystery.
