SERVICE
I need not wait some mighty deed
In praise of God, for men, to do.
For here, to-day, there is enough
By which to prove my love is true

I need not search the way to find
That to self-sacrifice doth lead,
Each thought of daily life may be
For others who my help shall need.

I need not sink. nor need I fail,
Though weary oft be heart and brain;
It is for Christ my strength is spent.
His "inasmuch" makes brave again.

I need alone to know that I,
A servant, as my Lord may be;
As was His life, can also mine
Be one of blessèd ministry.
