Some Day.
Some day, when our sight grows clearer,
We shall find the rugged road
We are treading now leads nearer
To the City of our God;
And we shall say,
At close of day,
'Tis well that we have come this way.
We shall find the rugged road
We are treading now leads nearer
To the City of our God;
And we shall say,
At close of day,
'Tis well that we have come this way.
Some day, when our faith is stronger,
We shall clasp the Father's hand,
Questioning His love no longer,
Though we may not understand
Why He says, Nay,
Instead of Yea;
His reasons we shall know some day.
We shall clasp the Father's hand,
Questioning His love no longer,
Though we may not understand
Why He says, Nay,
Instead of Yea;
His reasons we shall know some day.
Some day, at life's closing chapter,
The veil will slip from our eyes,
And we'll find, not here—hereafter,
The clue to life's mysteries;
Sorrow and pain
We shall count gain
When God has made His meaning plain.
The veil will slip from our eyes,
And we'll find, not here—hereafter,
The clue to life's mysteries;
Sorrow and pain
We shall count gain
When God has made His meaning plain.
Yes! there in the light up yonder
Where the deathless lilies bloom,
We shall gaze in silent wonder
At our lives in the Master's loom;
And we shall see
How wondrously
He's woven all in harmony.
Where the deathless lilies bloom,
We shall gaze in silent wonder
At our lives in the Master's loom;
And we shall see
How wondrously
He's woven all in harmony.
