FLOWERS.
Ye myriad blossoms that smile in the sun,
Or weep its departure at night!
Bloom on in thy beauty, for spring is begun,
And longs for each vision of light.
Or weep its departure at night!
Bloom on in thy beauty, for spring is begun,
And longs for each vision of light.
Flowers speak to the heart, as the voice of a friend,
In the mirth and the gladness of spring,
When life is all sunshine, and young hearts depend
On the bright hopes of promise they bring.
In the mirth and the gladness of spring,
When life is all sunshine, and young hearts depend
On the bright hopes of promise they bring.
Flowers soothe in our sorrow, they tell to the heart
There are blessings of light from above;
And when trials and sorrows in life take a part,
Let us look to a haven of love.
There are blessings of light from above;
And when trials and sorrows in life take a part,
Let us look to a haven of love.
