Goodbye, perhaps forever here,With God 'tis but a little while,To sleep and wake and find you near,To hear your voice and see your smile,The few brief years that interveneWill only be a cloud between,When to our clearer sight,As unto God this Life appears,A thousand of her little years,As a watch in the night;Goodbye, 'till endless day is born,Goodnight, until the morn.
