THOUGHTS
Words cannot change my worth Within God's sight;I stand the same whatever you have said; Those cruel words will fall back on your head,To ban and blight, Because there are white angels overheadTo guard the right.
Because there are white angels 'round aboutThe truth of things In their still tents where lurks no darksome doubtOr lie with wings; And love walks clothed in radiance in and out,And softly sings; Can mere opinions change gold into brassOr make a diamond paste? Then let the unjust judgment passLike worthless waste.
