Daily Worship in the House of God.
What sacred gleams of heavenly joyTo us each morning brings,Who in Thy courts this hour employ,To praise Thee, King of kings.
For as we hold communion sweet,Strengthened by holy ties,While here together we repeatOur anthems to the skies,
And lowly bend before Thy shrine,Thy love a halo flingsAround our head, and joys divineCome as on seraph's wings.
Yea, though our number small may be,Thy promise still remains;Amid the praying two or three,Thy blissful presence reigns.
On those who here reveal Thy will,Shed beams of heavenly light,That they to Zion's holy hillMay guide our steps aright.
And oh, increase the joy and love,That flow from prayer and praise,Till in the blissful realms above,An endless song we raise.
