CONSCIOUS POWER.
NEVER can a man aspire
To a deed I would not dare;
Never saint or priest rise higher
Than the soarings of my prayer.

Did there fail a hero ever
Whose lost day I might not win?
To all souls of high endeavor
I have felt my own akin.

All because great God hath given
Boundless strength to do, to be;
Here on earth I compass Heaven;
I in Him, and He in me.
