MY WEDDING RING.
My heart stirred with its golden thrill
And fluttered closer up to thine,
In that blue morning of the June
When first it clasped thy love and mine.
And fluttered closer up to thine,
In that blue morning of the June
When first it clasped thy love and mine.
In it I see the little room,
Rose-dim and hushed with lilies still,
Where the old silence of my life
Turned into music with "I will."
Rose-dim and hushed with lilies still,
Where the old silence of my life
Turned into music with "I will."
Oh, I would have my folded hands
Take it into the dust with me:
All other little things of mine
I'd leave in the bright world with thee.
Take it into the dust with me:
All other little things of mine
I'd leave in the bright world with thee.
