MY WEDDING RING.
My heart stirred with its golden thrillAnd fluttered closer up to thine,In that blue morning of the JuneWhen first it clasped thy love and mine.
In it I see the little room,Rose-dim and hushed with lilies still,Where the old silence of my lifeTurned into music with "I will."
Oh, I would have my folded handsTake it into the dust with me:All other little things of mineI'd leave in the bright world with thee.
