ONLY A SOB
It was only a heart; but then Did you know it was yours? When You lightly threw it away,Did you dream of a reckoning day?
It was only a heart; yet I can never quite forget How you toyed with the thing for a while Then put it aside with a smile.
It is only a heart still—Do with it as you will—A heart that is broken in two,But no longer beating for you!
